about cookies & cocktails
Let's be honest... adulting is exhausting and we all need more time for creativity, laughter, and wine. "Cookies & Cocktails" was created for this very reason!
My mission is to create fun and creative learning experiences in the world of cake & cookie decorating. Each signature workshop features a creative theme and all the tools needed- whether you're creating your very own set of pinterest-worthy sugar cookies or centerpiece worthy cakelets! To enhance the creativity, most workshops include or allow you to bring your own glass of wine or craft beer to enjoy!
Current workshop locations include Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits, Bad Beat Brewing, and A|R DIY Workshops.
In addition to Signature Workshops, I've also created a line of DIY Kits for a fun at-home decorating experience. These kits include ALL materials and printed/video tutorials to guide you through the decorating process! No mixing, baking, or dirty dishes to clean! No experience is necessary to enjoy these workshops or kits. I promise you will leave these workshops smiling, feeling creatively energized and way more confident in cookie and cake decorating at home!
creator of cookies & cocktails
Kristen started her career in the Pastry Arts 12 years ago, after graduating from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, OR. and moving here to Las Vegas to pursue some big dreams! She spent 3 years as a chocolatier
at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, and then went on to open and run her own award-winning custom cake studio & bake shoppe “Gimme Some Sugar” in Henderson, NV from 2009-2015. After a bittersweet ending, Kristen took on a position as head pastry chef for a local catering company, and then 2 years later moved to Las Vegas staple “Freed’s Bakery” where she is crafting
custom cakes and cookies today!
Her newest endeavor “Cookies & Cocktails” was created purely out of her love for sharing creativity, pastry arts, and a good glass of wine with others.
Kristen also has had few noteworthy TV appearances including: VH1’s “Fabulous Life”, TLC’s “Sister Wives” and of course The Food Network’s “Halloween Wars: season 5”, "Ridiculous Cakes" and “Vegas Cakes” season 2.
